Is my AMD Ryzen 7 5800X a Bottleneck for an RX 9060 XT?

I have an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and I'm planning to pair it with a future RX 9060 XT 16 GB for gaming. I mostly play AAA titles like RDR2, GTA V, and Destiny 2, and I'm looking to upgrade my setup to 1440p gaming. Should I be concerned about the CPU being a bottleneck, and is it advisable to upgrade my CPU as well?

It really depends on the game. At 1440p, the CPU impact is less than at 1080p. You might actually find the RX 9060 XT becoming the bottleneck instead. Overall, it's a solid combo for 1440p—just keep your expectations realistic with settings.

Nope, your CPU shouldn't bottleneck the RX 9060 XT at 1440p. The GPU will generally be the limiting factor in most scenarios at that resolution. Just make sure to tweak your game settings to get the best performance!

Exactly! At 1440p, you're mostly pushing your GPU, so you're good to go. Just keep an eye on FPS and adjust settings as needed.

Don't stress! Your Ryzen 7 is still a powerful CPU and should work great with the RX 9060 XT. Plus, there's always room to upgrade later if you find you want more power down the road. Just enjoy your current setup for now!

Totally agree, just get the new GPU and play around with it. You can always boost your CPU and RAM later if needed.

With the 5800X, you should be fine, especially gaming at 1440p. Make sure your RAM and SSD speeds are optimized too for the best experience. I saw noticeable improvements switching to a faster SSD and RAM, so that could help too!

Right, a solid SSD and decent RAM can really enhance the overall performance, too. Just keep everything in check!
