What are some great DevOps projects to showcase when moving from an AWS Cloud role?

I'm currently focused on AWS Cloud, working with tools like EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC, along with basic deployments. I want to transition into a DevOps role and am looking to enhance my resume with relevant hands-on projects. I'm not quite sure what types of projects are important to recruiters in the DevOps field. Since I have experience with AWS, I'm particularly interested in:

* What AWS-focused DevOps projects could help me secure a better salary?
* What skills or projects are in high demand by companies, especially those offering higher pay packages?
* What kinds of projects are considered impressive enough for DevOps interviews?
* Besides AWS cloud experience, what additional skills should I focus on to be job-ready?

I'm based in India and aiming for a DevOps position here, so any insights specifically related to the Indian job market would be really helpful. I'd appreciate any real-world examples or guidance!

You should definitely build a small application that implements CI/CD using GitHub Actions or GitLab. Use Terraform to manage your AWS infrastructure and add monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana, maybe even throw in Kubernetes if you’re feeling ambitious. Recruiters tend to appreciate buzzwords, and this kind of project could really make your resume stand out. Just remember, it can be tough to get hired these days, so showing these skills can help you shine.

Awesome suggestion! I've done similar stuff in my current work but it doesn't feel like enough for interviews. Should I present it on my resume as a more significant project?
