Why won’t my first PC setup power on?

I'm really stuck here with my first PC build; it just won't turn on at all. I've reconnected the 24-pin motherboard power cable and the 8-pin CPU connector multiple times, but still nothing. I also checked the front panel connections, but it feels a bit loose—should that be a concern? I've reseated the RAM as well, but no luck. The monitor just shows a 'lost signal' message, and it doesn't light up. My RGB keyboard isn't lighting, the fans aren't spinning, and basically, there's no response at all. I'm starting to wonder if the power supply is faulty or if I might have damaged something when installing the motherboard because one of the screws stripped and now it's stuck in the case.

First off, double-check if your PSU is actually switched on! It sounds basic, but you'd be surprised how often it's the issue. Have you flipped the switch on the back of it?

Yes, I've tried switching the PSU on and off multiple times, but I still get nothing.

Okay, here’s what I’d suggest: Start from scratch and clear the CMOS. There should be a jumper on your motherboard for that. If that doesn’t work, take everything out of the case and set your motherboard on the cardboard box it came in. Connect just the CPU, CPU fan, and one stick of RAM to the PSU. Use the onboard graphics and see if it powers on. If not, you might need to check the motherboard, CPU, or PSU. Maybe try a different PSU if you have access to another one.

Also, verify that you're connecting the FPANEL cable to the right port on the motherboard. It's easy to mistake it for a USB port, so check your manual!

It looks like you might not have hooked up the power, HDD, and LED cables. Those should come with your case; make sure they're connected properly!
