I've been using Linux for about six months now. In the past month, I've started hopping between different distributions every two or three days, customizing each one and then moving on to the next. My brother, who has been using Arch for much longer, mentioned that this constant switching could harm my hardware. I'm curious if there really is a risk of damaging my CPU or NVMe SSD by changing distros so often. What do you think?

I've been trying tons of different operating systems on my MacBook Pro since 2015 and I've done a ton of clean installs. My SSD is still going strong after all that! No long-term issues to speak of.
You can actually test out different distros using a live CD or USB instead of fully installing them right away. That's a less risky way to explore without impacting your hardware!
Yeah, Ventoy is great for that! Makes it super easy to switch between distros without the hassle.
Can we also customize the live environment? That's a game changer!

That's good to know! So fresh installs don't really affect performance long-term? Also, why did you settle on Ubuntu? I heard some say it's slower with Snap packages.
