I'm struggling to make a decision between two graphics cards: the 9070 XT and the 5070 Ti. Here are the prices in my country: the 5070 Ti costs about 1350 AUD (around 945 USD), while the 9070 XT is priced at 900 AUD (approximately 630 USD). I'm pairing whichever card I choose with a 7800X3D processor. I want to be able to ray trace and upscale for games like Resident Evil Requiem, and I play on a 1440p monitor with a 360fps refresh rate. I've been stuck in an analysis paralysis loop for hours! While I could afford to spend a bit more, I prefer to get good value. How much worse is the ray tracing and upscaling performance on the 9070 XT compared to the 5070 Ti?

Honestly, I'd recommend going for the 5070 Ti. Even though the 9070 XT is powerful, it seems like you really lean towards NVIDIA. In the end, you want to enjoy your games without any regrets later on!
I don't think you're biased, it's just confusing with so much conflicting info out there. Initially, you were thinking about AMD, right?
If budget isn’t a huge concern for you, then go for the 5070 Ti. It may not feel like the best value, but it could help you avoid buyer's remorse in the long run.
The upscaling on the 9070 XT isn’t terrible, but to optimize it, you might need something like Optiscaler for games that don’t have built-in support. Plus, beware of the frame pacing issues with its Frame Gen. Ray tracing is okay on AMD cards, but it’s not quite there yet compared to NVIDIA.
In the techpowerup review, the 9070 XT actually performed better in Resident Evil Requiem, even with ray tracing enabled. Neither card can manage path tracing at 1440p well, so expect to rely on upscaling or frame generation.
At the end of the day, pick the card that you think you’ll be happiest with. I was stuck in this kind of loop too, and it dragged on for months before I just committed. Don't let yourself get paralyzed by indecision!
It's not worth a $450 difference for what you get. If you can wait a bit, I'd suggest sticking with the 9070 XT since you don’t want to overspend just to dodge buyer's regret!
That's exactly the kind of specific feedback I needed. Just knowing more details makes it easier to choose without feeling overextended in my wallet!
I agree with the consensus, OP. You've got all the info, and while the 9070 XT is a better deal, if you've got the cash to spare for a smoother experience, just go for the 5070 Ti. It’s about what will make you happiest in the long run!

I initially disagreed but after reading your reasoning, I get it. If you feel more inclined towards NVIDIA, maybe just go for it and avoid the hassle later on.
