I'm looking to upgrade my old gaming PC and could use some advice. Currently, I have an AMD Phenom II X4 955 processor, 8GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB graphics card. I'm still using Windows 10, but my outdated processor is preventing me from playing some newer games and upgrading to Windows 11. I experience a lot of lag due to the limited memory as well.
I have a budget of around 700 to 800 euros total, with about 300 to 400 euros for RAM and another 300 euros for the processor and motherboard. I'm considering getting an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X processor, and I'm looking at either an Asrock B650M HDV/M.2 or an Asrock B650M Pro RS motherboard.
Can anyone recommend a good brand for the RAM? Also, are there any other motherboards that you would suggest? I plan to keep my graphics card for now since I can't really afford a new one, but if you know of any budget-friendly alternatives that outperform my current card, that would be great too!

First off, what’s your exact budget for the upgrades? Knowing that would help with recommendations. Just as a heads up, for a decent upgrade, it could be smart to allocate funds for a good graphics card if you start hitting any performance bottlenecks later on.
If you're sticking with 16GB of RAM, that should be plenty for gaming, even with your current graphics card. Just make sure you get RAM that’s compatible with the new motherboard; brands like Corsair or G.Skill are usually solid choices for performance. As for motherboards, the Asrock options you mentioned are fine, but also consider checking out MSI—they’ve been reliable in the budget category.
Does the graphic card depend on the memory? I don't really know a lot about things related to PCs.

At best I would say 700/800€: 300/400€ for the RAM and 300€ for the processor + motherboard (the Ryzen 5 7600X costs 150€ right now with a promotion).
