I'm trying to decide between buying a graphics card from MicroCenter or Newegg, especially now that GPUs are so pricey and taxes play a larger role in the final cost. I have a MicroCenter nearby that has a GPU priced $10 lower than Newegg. However, after factoring in the sales tax, it seems like picking it up at MicroCenter would actually end up being $40 more expensive than just having it delivered from Newegg. Am I calculating this right, or is there something I'm overlooking?

I live near a MicroCenter and bought my GPU from Newegg last year. I mainly did it because they had the exact model I wanted in stock. But keep in mind, MicroCenter is great for quick help and easy returns. Plus, yeah, you probably will pay some tax with Newegg—it often shows up in the checkout process once you enter your address.

Yeah, I noticed that too! If you go to checkout, they usually add tax at that point. So don't forget that when comparing prices!
