I'm considering upgrading the RAM in my PC, and I've found RAM sticks that are the same model as what I currently have, but they run at a different speed. My existing RAM is at 3000 MHz, while the ones I found are 3200 MHz. Will having different speeds cause any compatibility issues, or can I mix them without problems?

They'll definitely work together, but just know that the 3200 MHz sticks will run at 3000 MHz due to the slower ones. Mixing isn’t ideal but usually works without causing huge issues, just don't expect top speed!
You're probably fine! DDR4 has matured enough that mixing speeds is often workable. In most cases, your system will automatically adjust to the slower speed. But just to be safe, it's best to go into the BIOS afterwards and ensure both sets are synced up properly.
Did you need to adjust settings when you did that?
Mixing RAM can be tricky, and it's usually not recommended. I've seen some setups fail to boot when mixing different speeds. That said, many people have had success with different speeds as long as the sticks are of the same type and specs otherwise. It's hit or miss!
Really? That seems risky, especially if some are saying it's okay to mix them.
It’s true the faster sticks will run at the slower speed, so getting the 3000 MHz sticks could save you some hassle. But yes, they will still function together.
Got it, so even if they operate at the slower speed, they should still work funtionally?

Thanks for the info! If I run into issues, I guess I could always switch back to my old sticks.
