How can I get a browser in Windows Sandbox after uninstalling Edge?

I often use Windows Sandbox to safely open suspicious links, but I recently uninstalled Microsoft Edge from my main laptop. Now when I start Windows Sandbox, I find it's completely empty with no browser available. I'm looking for a way to install any browser in the Sandbox without having to reinstall Edge in my host system, as I removed it for a specific reason. Any suggestions?

There's a different tool called Sandboxie that you might try out. Not sure how it stacks up against Windows Sandbox, but it's worth looking into.

You could create a `.WSB` configuration file that automatically installs a browser when Sandbox starts. I came up with a quick script that you can tweak to point to your desired browser's .MSI installer. Just make sure to adjust the path in the configuration file correctly!

If you're really in a pinch, you could just download Edge again, but I get that you don't want to. Still, it's one option.

Are you able to use another computer? You could install Firefox on a USB drive from there and then transfer it to your Sandbox.

You might want to reinstall the OS or check with the developers of any debloating tools you used. Edge is tied pretty closely to Windows, and removing it can really mess things up. It's a bit of a self-inflicted issue, really.
