Hey everyone, I just got laid off from my job last week and have been on the lookout for new opportunities. I've got three years of experience in infrastructure and DevOps, and the only response I've received is from a company offering me a position as a 'Cloud Support Engineer Tier 2.' The catch is that it's a 10-hour shift from 5 AM to 3 PM. I'm really concerned that waking up at 4 AM every day for this schedule isn't sustainable for the long term. The salary is okay, but I wonder if I could negotiate for more. Should I take this job or hold out for better offers? Looking for advice, especially from those who have been in similar situations.

Honestly, if this is the only offer you have right now, I'd suggest accepting it. You can always keep looking for something better while you're employed. Plus, having a steady income is pretty important, and waking up early is definitely better than having no job at all.
If you've got an offer so quickly, that's a good sign about your skills in the job market. Maybe take the job for now and keep searching on the side. You can always quit if something better comes along, and this gives you some income as a cushion.
I'd personally aim for three offers before settling down with one, if possible. But if you really need a job right now, going with this one doesn't seem like a bad idea, especially if you can manage the early mornings.
