Help! Microsoft Store Won’t Open – Any Fixes?

I'm having a frustrating issue with the Microsoft Store on my PC. It just won't open! I've already tried some common fixes like repairing and restarting the app, and I even attempted to update/uninstall/reinstall it using PowerShell and the terminal, but nothing worked. When I try to launch it, the app gets stuck on a white screen with the Microsoft logo, and it hogs so much power that my high-performance PC drops to about 10 fps. The only way I can stop it is by doing a full restart, which is super inconvenient. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

This might sound odd, but try running the Win32 Xbox App Installer from the Xbox website. Also, check your registry for the AppXSVC. If you see a DWORD value named 'Start' set to 4, change it to 2 and reboot. Do the same for ClipSVC if needed.

If that installer finds issues with the AppXSVC or ClipSVC, you might need to fix those values in the registry. After that, the Store should work again. If not, try running this command in an admin command prompt: `winget install 9WZDNCRFJ8MP` or the longer one to register the Store app.

Have you checked the Event Viewer? It might give you some clues about any errors the Store is generating.

Check out www.tweaking.com and download their Windows Repair tool. It’s helped me a lot over the years with issues like this.

You should run DISM and SFC. It’s possible that a previous Windows update corrupted some system files, leading to this issue.
