I'm trying to free up some space on my device, but Microsoft Edge and the Edcore folder are taking up around 3GB. No one in my household uses Edge, and I've already tried a few solutions, including searching online and using the command line, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions on how to completely delete them?

Just to clarify, Edge is part of Windows itself, unlike Linux or MacOS where it’s not included. If you’re considering switching to a different OS, that could solve your problem too!
If 3GB is a big deal for you, I think there might be larger storage issues to tackle. But, if you really want to clear out Edge, try opening it, then hold down CTRL + Shift and hit Delete to clear everything. Or just run the Windows Disk Cleanup tool to free up some space.
I used Revo Uninstaller to get rid of Edge on Windows 10, but honestly, I kind of regret it now. A few apps rely on Edge to function correctly, and I’m stuck having to reinstall Windows to get it back. My advice? Maybe just leave it be, even though it’s annoying to have it there.
