My iPhone stopped working because its storage is full. I'm worried that restoring it may erase everything, but I don't have an iCloud backup. Is there any software, hardware repair, or micro-soldering method that could recover my photos and other data? Software recovery programs generally cannot bypass an iPhone passcode or recover files from erased encrypted storage. If the phone is still failing because the storage is full, the best chance is a professional repair that preserves the original logic board and gets it to boot normally so you can make a backup.
If the phone has already been erased or restored, recovery is generally not possible. iPhones use strong encryption, so once the data and its encryption keys are removed, recovery software usually can’t reconstruct it. Without an iCloud or computer backup, there may be no usable copy left.
Since you haven’t restored it yet, don’t erase or update it repeatedly. A reputable phone data-recovery specialist may be able to repair the original board or get the device working long enough to create a backup. Avoid experimenting with tools or opening the phone yourself, because further damage could make recovery impossible.
