I recently installed a new graphics card and need another 8-pin PCIe power cable. My power supply is an EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2, but I can't find the spare modular cables, and the person who built my computer may have them. If they're gone, where should I buy a safe replacement? I'd rather not risk damaging the GPU or power supply, so I'm unsure whether Amazon is appropriate or if I should use a manufacturer-approved source.

If EVGA no longer has stock, CableMod is commonly used for replacement cables for EVGA power supplies. Use its compatibility guide and select the exact 650 G2 model rather than buying a generic 8-pin cable from a marketplace listing. A reputable cable manufacturer is much safer than guessing.
Don’t mix modular cables from different power supplies. The PSU-side pinout can vary, and using the wrong cable can damage components or create a serious safety hazard. Also, an extension only helps if you already have the correct PSU cable; it doesn’t replace the missing modular cable. If you can’t find a confirmed-compatible replacement, continuing with the current setup or replacing the PSU is safer than experimenting.
The safest option is to contact EVGA and ask whether they still have a compatible replacement cable for the SuperNOVA 650 G2. Modular PSU cables aren’t universal, even when the connector looks identical, so make sure the cable is specifically listed for your exact PSU model.
