How can I start learning to build and troubleshoot PCs?

Building computers has always interested me, but I'm not sure where to begin because there's so much to learn. I currently have a prebuilt PC that runs surprisingly hot—around 80–90°C on the CPU and about 80°C on the GPU during many tasks—and troubleshooting it is what motivated me to learn more. I also have two older spare PCs that I could eventually practice on. Are there any beginner-friendly guides or a good learning path you'd recommend? I'm nervous about damaging something, so I'd like to understand the basics before taking anything apart.

Deal with the overheating issue first. Find out the exact CPU and GPU temperatures, whether they’re idle or under load, and what hardware is inside the prebuilt. Check that the fans are spinning, airflow isn’t blocked, the cooler is mounted properly, and the case isn’t unusually cramped. Around 80°C can be normal under load for some parts, but 90°C regularly is worth investigating. Prebuilt systems sometimes use compact cases or unusual layouts that make cooling less effective.
