Is this a reasonable price for a second-hand system, and what should I check before buying it?

The price sounds high for a used PC unless equivalent new systems are unusually expensive where you live. The RTX 5070 Ti is doing most of the heavy lifting for gaming, while the 14700KF platform is older and carries some additional risk. Compare the price against a new build with a current-generation CPU, and adjust for the lack of a full warranty. If the seller won’t let you run a stress test, inspect the SSD health, and verify the exact parts, I’d pass.
I’d be cautious with a used 13th- or 14th-generation Intel system. Earlier BIOS and CPU microcode versions could allow excessive voltage and long-term degradation on these processors. Ask the seller for the current BIOS version, confirm that the latest stability and microcode updates are installed, and test the system under load before paying. Also check temperatures, clock speeds, crashes, and whether the CPU has been undervolted or heavily overclocked.
