Is the KodeKloud 100 Days of DevOps Challenge Worth the Time?

I'm considering starting KodeKloud's 100 Days of DevOps challenge to strengthen my skills and fill in gaps in areas I may not know well. For people who have tried it, how useful was it, and was the time investment worthwhile? I'm especially interested in whether it provides enough hands-on practice and value for someone with some existing experience.

It’s a helpful way to get up to speed quickly, especially because the hands-on virtual environments and quizzes let you practice instead of only watching videos. The value depends on your current experience, though; someone already working as a DevOps engineer may find parts of it too basic.

The challenge is most useful if you need structure or are still building your fundamentals. Before committing to all 100 days, compare the topics with your actual weak areas. If you mainly need CI/CD, Linux, or Terraform practice but the challenge spends a lot of time on Kubernetes, a few focused build-and-break projects might be a better use of your time.

For beginners, it can be a solid introduction to common tools and workflows. More experienced engineers may find that many exercises stay at the fundamental level, such as basic Jenkins administration, so the later material may not be advanced enough. It works best when paired with a home lab, a side project, or real tasks at work. The platform is useful, but completing the challenge alone will not make someone a DevOps engineer; consistent practice and applying the concepts are what make it worthwhile.
