My gaming laptop recently failed, so I'm planning to replace it with a desktop. DDR5 memory is currently very expensive in India, so I'm considering a DDR4-based system that I hope to use for around eight years without upgrading any major components.
The planned parts are a Ryzen 5 5600X, MSI B550M-A Pro motherboard, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 CL16 memory, a Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB, Deepcool AK400 cooler, Crucial P310 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, MSI MAG A650BN 650W Bronze power supply, and an Ant Esports Crystal X7 case. I'm also including a 27-inch 1440p 180Hz monitor, keyboard, and mouse. The total comes to about ₹1,44,880.
Are there any components I should replace, and are there likely to be bottlenecks? Is the 650W power supply suitable for this graphics card? My target is a stable 90–120 FPS at 1440p using medium settings and FSR Quality in modern AAA games. Since the GPU will often be close to full utilization at 1440p, would the lower memory speed have only a negligible effect on performance?

You may be able to reduce the cost by buying used DDR4 memory, especially since DDR4 is a mature platform. Just test both modules thoroughly and confirm that the seller offers some form of return protection. I would avoid compromising on the power supply or buying questionable used components simply to save a small amount.
Another possible approach is reallocating some of the budget toward the graphics card. A stronger GPU paired with a dependable 750W Gold-rated supply could improve 1440p longevity more than spending heavily on premium storage or accessories. Be careful with unusually cheap listed prices, though—online parts listings can be outdated, and the final retailer quote may be significantly higher.
The overall parts list is fairly sensible, and 32GB of DDR4-3200 should be adequate for this system. At 1440p, performance will generally be limited by the graphics card rather than the memory, so the RAM speed should not make a major difference when the GPU is fully utilized. The Ryzen 5 5600X may become the limiting factor in some high-FPS or CPU-heavy games, but it should be reasonable for the stated 90–120 FPS target with appropriate settings. The 650W unit should be sufficient if the graphics card’s recommended power supply is within that range, though a higher-quality 650W or 750W model would provide more headroom and confidence for long-term use.
The main part I would reconsider is the Ant Esports case. Those products can be acceptable when they are very inexpensive, but at around ₹5,000 there are better-built options from established case manufacturers. Look for a case with stronger construction, a better airflow layout, and reliable included fans.
That makes sense. I was mainly considering it because of the Type-C port and the included lighting, but I’ll compare better-known cases in the same price range.
