How well does the Gigabyte RTX 5060 Ti 16GB Gaming OC perform, and how many years should I expect it to handle new games? I currently play at 1080p, but I may upgrade to 1440p if my budget allows.

At 1080p, it should handle most newer AAA games at high settings and around 60 FPS for the next few years, depending on how demanding each title is. The 16GB of VRAM and DLSS support should help extend its useful life. For 1440p, though, I’d strongly consider stepping up to a Radeon RX 9070 if you can find one near the same price, since it offers a much larger performance margin.
The card should age reasonably well thanks to its 16GB of VRAM. Expect medium-to-high settings in demanding future games, while games that are several years old should generally run at maximum settings without much trouble. Upscaling can also help maintain smoother performance as games become more demanding.
It performs only slightly ahead of the RX 9060 XT 16GB while often costing noticeably more, so value is the main concern. If you’re staying at 1080p, it’s a sensible option, but for a planned 1440p upgrade, a stronger card such as the RX 9070 would be the better long-term purchase.
