I'm considering the Gigabyte RTX 5060 Ti 16GB Gaming OC and want to know how well it performs in modern games. I currently play at 1080p, but I might move to 1440p if my budget allows. How long should this card remain capable, and what settings or frame rates can I realistically expect?

It’s a decent choice for 1080p, especially if you want to keep the card for several years. Older games should run at maximum settings, while newer ones will likely be more comfortable at medium-to-high settings. DLSS can improve performance, but it shouldn’t be treated as a guarantee that the card will stay fast indefinitely.
At 1080p, it should handle most AAA games at high settings and around 60 FPS for the next few years, although the most demanding releases may require lowering a few options. The 16GB of VRAM is helpful for texture-heavy games, and upscaling can extend its useful life. For 1440p, though, I’d strongly consider stepping up to a faster card if the price difference is reasonable.
The 5060 Ti 16GB is only slightly faster than some similarly priced 16GB alternatives, so value matters here. If you can find a higher-tier 16GB card near the same price, it would be a much better option for 1440p and would offer more performance headroom. For your current 1080p setup, however, the 5060 Ti should be perfectly capable.
I’m mainly at 1080p right now, but I’ll compare prices with the faster options before deciding in case I upgrade my monitor later.
