I'm building a PC in India with a budget of roughly ₹80,000–₹90,000. The planned components are a Ryzen 5 7500F, 32GB RAM, a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, an MSI 650W power supply, an MSI B650M Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard, an Ant Esports ICE612 V2 cooler, and an Ant Value CV200 case.
I'm unsure about the graphics card. The RTX 3060 Ti has better gaming performance but only 8GB of VRAM, while the RTX 3060 has 12GB and seems more suitable for AI and local LLM learning. Which one makes more sense for a mix of AI/LLM work, gaming, and productivity?

The RTX 3060 Ti is the better gaming card, but 8GB is becoming limiting for newer games and AI experimentation. NVIDIA still has advantages for AI because of CUDA and broad software support, so the 3060 12GB is probably the safer compromise for your mixed use rather than switching to an AMD card without checking compatibility for your specific tools.
Keep the 2x16GB RAM setup. Using four 8GB sticks generally does not improve LLM performance, and on AM5 it can make memory stability and supported speeds worse. If you use larger models, upgrading to 64GB later would be more useful than changing to four sticks.
If the GPUs are not being bought at a significant discount, compare them with newer 16GB options as well. A 16GB card can provide much more room for AI workloads, although NVIDIA remains the less troublesome choice when you depend on CUDA-based software. For gaming alone, the 3060 Ti wins; for your stated combination of uses, prioritize VRAM and choose the 3060 12GB or save for a stronger 16GB model.
For local AI and LLMs, VRAM is often the biggest limitation. An 8GB card can be noticeably restrictive, while the RTX 3060 12GB lets you run larger models and workloads, even though it is slower for gaming. Between these two, I’d choose the 3060 12GB unless gaming performance is your clear priority. If possible, look for a reasonably priced used card with 16GB of VRAM instead.

A newer 16GB card could be worth considering if you can stretch the budget. More VRAM may matter more for LLMs than the extra gaming speed of the 3060 Ti.
