I built my first PC around 2016–2017, and it is still serving me well, but I'm ready to put together a new system for the living room. I originally considered a Steam Machine-style system, but I wasn't impressed with the available hardware, pricing, or reviews, so I'd rather build my own compact PC.
I've put together an AMD-based parts list and would appreciate feedback, especially on whether the power supply, CPU cooler, case, and other components are compatible and will fit properly. General suggestions are welcome too.
My budget is flexible, with around €2,500 as a rough upper limit. I'm based in the Netherlands and would prefer new, open-box, or warranty-backed returned parts rather than second-hand components. I want the system to last several years and handle demanding games and mods at high settings. It will be connected to a 55-inch QLED TV, and I'm aiming to run SteamOS or a similar Linux-based gaming setup.
Small form factor is important because the PC will be in the living room, and lower noise is strongly preferred. I also mostly want black or dark-colored components; RGB is not important, although a simple static color would be fine. I'm currently considering a Radeon RX 9070 XT because AMD hardware may offer better compatibility with my preferred operating system.

The original parts-list link was not working, so it is difficult to check exact compatibility. Based on the alternatives suggested, you could consider a smaller case and potentially move up to a faster graphics card if the budget allows. A higher-tier GPU would provide a more noticeable improvement in game performance than upgrading to a top-end gaming CPU, especially when playing at TV resolutions rather than 1080p.
The link has been fixed. I’m leaning toward the RX 9070 XT because I’d prefer AMD for better compatibility with SteamOS or another Linux-based setup.
