RTX 5060 Ti Suddenly Stopped Posting After Sleep

My new RTX 5060 Ti worked normally for several days, but after the computer woke from sleep it suddenly stopped posting. The monitor remains black, and Windows does not appear to boot when the card is installed. The system starts normally using the integrated graphics once the RTX 5060 Ti is removed.

I have cleared CMOS, updated the motherboard BIOS, tested another PCIe slot, and tried forcing both PCIe Gen 3 and Gen 4. I also set the system to use the iGPU, but that did not help while the card was still installed. The motherboard is an MSI B850 Gaming Plus, and its diagnostic lights do not indicate a problem. I have also unplugged and reconnected the GPU power cable several times, making sure it is fully seated. What else should I try before assuming the card is defective?

A partially connected GPU power plug can prevent the system from posting even when the fans or lighting look normal. Disconnect it, check that there is no debris or damage in the plug and socket, then reconnect it firmly until the latch is engaged. If that changes nothing and the PC still works with the card removed, the GPU itself may have failed.

I have unplugged and reconnected the cable several times and cannot push it in any farther. Unfortunately, the behavior has not changed.

Since the computer boots normally as soon as the graphics card is completely removed, the card or its power connection is the main suspect. Reseat the card, inspect the connector for damage, and if possible test it in another computer or test a known-good GPU in this system. If the problem follows the 5060 Ti, it is probably time to replace or warranty it.

That makes sense. I have already removed and reseated it several times, and the power cable feels fully inserted, so testing another card or system is probably the next step.
