I'm using a B-850 Pro-A motherboard with 32GB of TeamGroup DDR5-6000 memory configured as 2x16GB (PC5-48000). I want to upgrade to 64GB and am wondering which approach is most reliable: add another 2x16GB kit, buy an identical 2x16GB kit, or sell my current memory and replace it with a 2x32GB kit. I've heard that running four DDR5 modules can cause compatibility or stability issues, so I'd appreciate advice on the practical differences.

Using four sticks can work, especially if the second kit is identical and the motherboard BIOS is up to date, but it isn’t guaranteed. You may need to lower the memory speed or loosen the timings. How well it works depends on the CPU’s memory controller, the board, and your willingness to troubleshoot.
The safest option for compatibility and performance is usually selling the current kit and buying a matched 2x32GB kit. Two DIMMs put less strain on the CPU’s memory controller and are more likely to run at the advertised 6000 MT/s speed.
DDR5 is particularly sensitive to having all four slots populated. Four modules create more electrical load and signal noise, which can lead to instability or prevent the system from running at its full rated speed. A 2x32GB kit is generally the more dependable choice if you want a straightforward upgrade.

That’s a bit more expensive, but it sounds worthwhile if four-stick DDR5 setups are really that much harder to stabilize.
