I'm trying to build a decent gaming PC with a budget of $500. I'm curious if it's feasible to get a good graphics card within this budget or if that's just unrealistic. Any suggestions on components or tips would be really helpful!

If your total budget is strictly $500, focusing on the used market for a GPU is your best bet. You can usually find decent AMD budget to mid-tier cards. Just set aside some time to hunt around for good deals!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely look into the used market.

It depends on what you mean by a 'good' GPU. What games are you aiming to play? Also, do you already have a monitor? That's important for knowing what kind of power you need.

The RX 580 is a really good deal at under $100 and works great for a wide range of games. Just don't expect to play the latest AAA titles on ultra settings. It’s a solid card for general gaming though, especially on a small budget!

I recommend looking for newer used GPUs. An RX 580 can be a solid choice - it's older but still performs well for most games, and you can often find it at lower prices. Keep in mind that if you choose a more powerful GPU, you might need to upgrade your power supply as well. Here's a potential build under $500 if you want ideas!

I appreciate it! I’ll check out the RX 580 and see if it suits my needs.

You might want to check out used parts for this budget. A second-hand Ryzen 5500 or 5600 paired with an RX 6600 could be a good combo. They balance performance and cost well, especially if you're okay with buying used.
