I recently switched to Linux Mint, and most things are working well. However, some videos in my web browser never start and remain stuck loading. Could this be related to missing H.265 or other video codec support, and what should I check to fix it?

Some videos may use H.265/HEVC or another codec that your browser doesn’t support properly. VLC can help test whether your system can decode the file, but installing VLC usually won’t fix playback inside a web browser. If the videos work in VLC but not the browser, check the browser’s codec support, hardware acceleration settings, and whether the site requires a different browser or media package.
