I'm putting together a gaming PC with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX 5080, 32GB of DDR5 memory, and a Corsair RM1000x power supply for extra headroom. Would the Gigabyte B850 Eagle WiFi 6E motherboard be suitable for these parts? I've seen some conflicting discussions elsewhere and would appreciate a second opinion before buying.

The motherboard is fine, but I’d take another look at the power supply. A 1000W unit is more than enough, but the older non-Shift RM1000x may not be ATX 3.1 compliant and might require buying a separate 12VHPWR cable for the RTX 5080. Depending on local pricing, an ATX 3.1 model such as the Montech Century II 1050W could offer the same capacity, include the proper GPU cable, and cost considerably less. Just make sure whichever model you choose is the current ATX 3.1 version.
Yes, the motherboard should run those components without any issue. The B850 Eagle WiFi 6E is a perfectly suitable board for the 9800X3D and RTX 5080.

I initially thought the price was a mistake because it’s close to what many 850W units cost. That’s a surprisingly good deal for a 1050W ATX 3.1 supply.
