I'm new to building PCs as I've mostly been a console gamer. I'd love some help on what parts to buy so I don't end up with incompatible components. My goal is to create a solid build that allows me to play games like NBA 2K, Call of Duty, and God of War with better graphics and performance than on my console. I'd appreciate any recommendations! Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey! Just to clarify, are you including the costs of the monitor, keyboard, and mouse in that $2500 budget? You might want to separate those expenses to focus on the PC itself.
Are you open to buying used parts, or do you want everything new? Sometimes you can snag great deals on used components if you're comfortable with that.
Honestly, I'm new to this whole PC thing, so I'd prefer to play it safe and stick with new parts.
Building a PC for the games you mentioned doesn't have to be super expensive! For a solid start, I recommend going with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X paired with an RTX 3060 or better, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. If you want to game in 4K, you might need to step up to an RTX 4080 for good performance.
Thanks a ton! I just want a build that will let me compete well in COD and enjoy great graphics in games like God of War.
Here's a build list I made recently that might suit your needs: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/x83MKq. Check it out for some inspiration!
Awesome, thanks for sharing that!
That budget is just for the PC. I've got other funds saved for the monitor and accessories.
