Hey everyone! I'm currently an RHCSA/RHCE and initially thought about diving into DevOps. However, I've come to realize that it's better to focus on mastering a specific tool first. Right now, I'm working on Kubernetes and my goal is to become an OpenShift architect and a 'Kubestronaut.' I also want to get a fundamental understanding of other tools like Git and CI/CD. I'd love to hear any advice on career growth in this area since I'm working as a Linux/Ansible system admin at the moment.

To really get good at Kubernetes, you should consider getting a job where you can work with K8s clusters on a daily basis. Doing it in a production environment really helps solidify your skills much better than just tinkering with a personal setup. Trust me, I did it and I've never looked back! There’s just something about working on problems at scale that sets the experience apart.
On a side note, please don't ever use 'Kubestronaut' again. It just doesn't sound right!
OpenShift can be pretty complex, so if that's the path you want to take, I'd recommend checking out the Red Hat Academy for their learning paths. You should look into taking their courses 180, 280, and 380. And just so you know, if you have your RHCE, getting five certifications lets you add RHCA to your signature, which is a nice perk! Just keep in mind, knowing Kubernetes doesn’t automatically mean you know OpenShift and vice versa.
