Is Microsoft 365 having an outage affecting SharePoint and Outlook search?

Is anyone else seeing problems with Microsoft 365 today? I'm unable to access some SharePoint resources and want to figure out whether this is part of a broader service issue or something specific to my environment.

I’m seeing related problems with Copilot—it keeps returning a generic “Something went wrong” message. Another user couldn’t access Outlook desktop until rebooting, while Outlook Mobile continued working. That suggests the issue may affect particular clients or backend services rather than every user equally.

The outage isn’t universal. Several people report everything working normally, including SharePoint and the admin center, while others are locked out or seeing mailbox and search errors. Region, account, and the specific Microsoft 365 service path may all make a difference.

One affected mailbox showed an Outlook connection error and an HTTP 500 error in Outlook on the web, while mobile mail still worked. If you’re troubleshooting, compare desktop Outlook, the web client, and mobile, then check the Microsoft 365 service health dashboard for incident MO1456424.

Yes, there’s an active Microsoft incident, MO1456424. Some users may be unable to search for content in SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Outlook on the web, or the desktop Outlook client. The impact appears limited to users on affected infrastructure, so availability can vary by region and account. Some people are also reporting slow loading, missing menus, and related Entra or Conditional Access problems.

Thanks, I was trying to determine whether this was a wider issue or something I caused. It sounds like it may be the service after all.
