Is My 11-Year-Old Gaming PC Still Viable?

Hey everyone! I've got a gaming PC that's about 11 years old, which I inherited from my uncle when he upgraded his setup. It seems to run okay for the most part, but I've been running into some issues lately. The system has been incredibly laggy, not just when I'm gaming but even when I have a couple of browser tabs or other programs open. It's frustrating!

Additionally, there's a delay of about five minutes when I first turn the PC on before it connects to the internet. I thought it might be the WiFi adapter, so I bought a new one, but the issue persists. I'm starting to wonder if it's just my internet connection or an issue with the PC itself. I'm considering building a new PC after doing some research, but I'm uncertain. What do you all think?

First off, does your PC have an SSD? If not, that could be a game-changer. Hardware durability has improved, and while graphics advancement has slowed, 11 years might still be pushing it. You might want to look into upgrading your storage first.
