How much should I budget for a PC that mainly runs Roblox?

I'm new to PC building and usually play Roblox, mostly simple obstacle-course games at the lowest graphics settings, so I don't need amazing visual quality. My laptop has been getting slower over the past few years, and I'm thinking about buying or building a desktop in a few years. I originally assumed even a basic PC would cost around €2,000, but is that actually necessary? I'd like to understand roughly how much the components and complete setup might cost, including whether buying used parts makes sense.

Roblox can run on almost any reasonably modern computer, so a used PC around €400 could handle it without trouble. A €2,000 budget would be excessive for your current games, and even spending over €1,000 on the entire setup would probably be unnecessary unless you also need a monitor, peripherals, or want to play demanding games later.

The “one bar of graphics” probably just means playing with Roblox's graphics quality set to the minimum.

The right budget depends on what you might play in the future. A basic new gaming PC can cost about €1,000 or less, while high-end systems can go well beyond €3,000. Before choosing parts, check the requirements for a few games you may want to play later, since something like a demanding modern title needs much more hardware than Roblox.

You definitely don't need €2,000 for Roblox. That kind of budget can buy a powerful modern system capable of high-quality 1440p or even 4K gaming, which would be major overkill here. Also, if the laptop is only slow because of software buildup, reinstalling the operating system or replacing an old hard drive with an SSD might improve it before you buy anything.

For a basic system made entirely from new parts, roughly €700–€800 is a reasonable starting point, while around €1,000 gives you more room to avoid compromises. For Roblox alone, that would already be more than enough. Going much lower usually means considering a used office PC or second-hand components.
