Do you update the BIOS and drivers, enable XMP or EXPO, install monitoring and benchmarking tools, debloat Windows, configure fans and peripherals, or simply enjoy the new system?

Install only the applications you actually need, including a browser with an ad blocker and password manager. A lightweight installer bundle can make the basic setup faster, but I wouldn’t go overboard with “essential” utilities or aggressive debloating until you know what you’re removing.
And don’t forget the fun part: admire the finished build, download a game, and actually use it. Benchmarking is useful for finding problems, but it’s easy to spend more time chasing numbers than enjoying the computer.
Before trusting the system, run a few stability checks: MemTest86 for memory, Cinebench for the CPU, and FurMark or a similar test for the graphics card. Watch temperatures, set sensible fan curves, and check that the fans, lighting, keyboard, mouse, and other peripherals are detected correctly.
Once everything is stable, install your games and try a demanding one while monitoring temperatures, usage, and frame rates.
