I'm tuning Red Dead Redemption 2 on a laptop with an RTX 5060 Laptop GPU, Intel i7-13650HX, 16GB of RAM, and a 1080p display. I'd like the game to look as good as possible while staying above 75 FPS with consistent frame times. What graphics settings would you recommend, and is DLSS worth using? If so, which mode gives the best balance between image quality and performance?

There isn’t one universal “best” setup. Preferences for image quality vary, and laptop performance can differ depending on cooling, power limits, and the specific model. Start with High settings, monitor FPS and frame-time consistency in both towns and wide-open areas, then adjust the most demanding options until the results feel stable.
High settings without upscaling or frame generation can typically land around 70–80 FPS on similar hardware, although performance may dip a little in large outdoor areas. If the image looks blurry, increasing the in-game resolution scale to roughly 150% can improve sharpness. I’d also check the triple-buffering option—some players have found it causes issues, so disabling it may help. If you decide to use upscaling, you can likely raise a few graphical settings while still staying near your target frame rate.

Thanks for the helpful tips! I’ll try the high preset, test the resolution scale, and compare the results with DLSS enabled.
