I'm new to Linux and currently using Bazzite. With the same mouse DPI and acceleration disabled, my mouse feels noticeably faster on Linux than it did on Windows. I've used 1600 DPI on Windows for around ten years, so the difference is difficult to adjust to. Is there a way to configure Linux so the pointer movement feels as close to 1:1 with my Windows setup as possible?

The desktop environment can make a noticeable difference. For example, the same mouse may feel sluggish in one environment and faster in another because pointer-speed settings and input handling differ. Check the mouse settings in your desktop environment first. If you’re using X11, tools such as xinput can also adjust device properties, although the exact commands depend on the mouse and configuration.
If your mouse has hardware DPI profiles, try switching between them and then tuning the desktop pointer speed until it feels right. You can also adjust sensitivity individually in games so you can keep one consistent DPI setting across both operating systems. The goal may be matching your effective sensitivity rather than matching the desktop slider value exactly.
It’s probably not limited to one particular gaming mouse. Testing another mouse can still help rule out device-specific software or firmware behavior, but if both your Razer Viper V3 Pro and older Logitech G502 feel the same, the difference is more likely coming from the desktop or input configuration. A basic office mouse would be a useful final comparison.
