I'm choosing between two PCs at the same price: one with a Ryzen 5 9600X and an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB triple-fan graphics card, and another with a Ryzen 7 9700X and an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB dual-fan card. I'll mainly use the system for running AI models and LLMs, After Effects, Blender, and building machine-learning projects. Gaming is secondary, but I'd still like good performance in future games such as GTA 6. Which combination makes more sense for this mix of workloads?

The second build makes more sense. Also, don’t choose the system based on GTA 6 yet—the PC version has not been given a confirmed release date, so current PC performance is the more practical thing to compare.
The triple-fan and dual-fan versions should perform nearly identically because they have the same GPU and memory. The triple-fan model may run a little cooler or quieter, but that usually isn’t worth giving up the 9700X. Check the card’s length, thickness, and your case airflow before deciding, especially if you may add another GPU later.
I’d choose the Ryzen 7 9700X with the dual-fan graphics card. Both systems use the same RTX 5060 Ti, so the number of fans doesn’t change the GPU’s actual performance. The extra CPU cores will be more useful for AI-related tasks, rendering, Blender, After Effects, multitasking, and other heavily threaded workloads.
AI work is my main priority, while gaming is secondary. I had heard AMD graphics cards were mainly better for gaming, so I wasn’t sure whether the CPU or GPU choice mattered more here.
