PC Keeps Opening BIOS Instead of Booting Windows After BIOS Update

I have an MSI Pro Carbon Gaming motherboard with a Ryzen 5 2600X. I recently upgraded to a Ryzen 5 5600X and updated the motherboard to the latest BIOS version. Since then, the computer starts by opening the BIOS every time instead of loading Windows. The BIOS detects both Samsung SSDs, but I'm unsure which boot settings I need to change to make the system boot normally again.

Remove the BIOS update USB drive, then check the boot settings. Set the first boot option to the drive containing Windows—ideally an entry labeled “Windows Boot Manager” rather than just the bare SSD. If the drive is detected but Windows still won’t start, check whether the BIOS mode needs to be switched between UEFI and CSM/Legacy to match the original installation.

The boot menu only showed generic choices such as UEFI hard disk, hard disk, and USB hard disk. Both Samsung SSDs were visible in the system status. I tried several boot-option combinations, and eventually one of them allowed Windows to start again.
