Why Is My Infinix Phone Suddenly Losing Battery So Quickly?

My Infinix phone has started draining much faster than usual. It still charges quickly, and the battery isn't swollen or visibly damaged, but a full charge can barely last through the day—even when I use battery saver while I'm at school. This only started about a week ago, although something similar happened once before. The phone is around 509 days old, and I haven't updated the operating system or any apps recently. What could be causing the sudden battery drain, and what should I check?

At around 509 days old, the battery may simply have lost some of its original capacity. A battery can wear out without swelling, and it may still charge quickly while holding much less power than before. Check the battery-usage screen to see whether one app is suddenly consuming most of the charge. If usage looks normal but the battery life remains poor, the battery itself may need replacement.

Updating the operating system and your apps is worth trying, especially since none of them have been updated recently. An outdated or malfunctioning app can run in the background and cause unusual drain. After updating, restart the phone and check which apps are using the most battery. Also look at location services, mobile data, Bluetooth, and screen brightness if the drain continues.
