I'm considering buying a used RTX 3080 for around $300–$330. Is there another graphics card that offers better gaming performance or value at that price, or is the 3080 still one of the strongest options on the used market?

At $300 or a little more, the RTX 3080 is still very hard to beat. It offers excellent 1080p and 1440p performance, solid ray tracing, and DLSS. A newer card might have better efficiency or more VRAM, but it will usually cost noticeably more.
There are alternatives such as newer midrange cards, but they generally cost over $400 to clearly improve on the 3080. A used 3080 Ti around $400 could also be worth considering, though the extra power draw and age still matter. I’d compare the seller’s reputation, warranty, and the card’s condition before buying.
