I recently started using a two-PC setup and discovered software KVM tools that let one keyboard and mouse control both computers. I'd like to switch between the PCs using a physical button, keyboard shortcut, or possibly a Stream Deck action. What software or hardware options work well for this? I'm working with very limited desk space, so a compact solution would be ideal.

A compact USB sharing switch can be a good alternative to software KVM tools. It connects the keyboard and mouse to two computers and switches between them with a physical button. The main advantages are that the peripherals stay directly connected, there’s no network-related input delay, and neither computer has to act as the always-on primary system.
