Hey everyone! I'm using an alt account for privacy. So my partner handed me their new iPhone to watch a TikTok video using Safari since we don't have the app downloaded. While I was trying to show them how to avoid the app download prompt by editing the web address, I noticed that Safari's Suggestions popped up a porn site (xnxx) right under their Favorites. My partner was really upset because they claimed they have never visited that site, and this is a new phone from the carrier. I checked my own Suggestions on my iPhone, and it only showed links from texts I've received. I'm curious about how Safari Suggestions work and why it would suggest a porn website. Can anyone provide some serious insights? Thanks!

You can change the Suggestions by going into Settings > Safari and then scrolling down to Profiles. Create a new 'casual' profile, and that will give you a fresh Safari experience with its own history and Suggestions. Just switch profiles from the tab manager in Safari.
Edit: I misread your post — it’s likely that your partner’s Apple account has visited that site at some point, probably on a different device. That’s why it might be showing up now.
Thank you so much for the advice!
