Help! Windows 11 Update Got Stuck and My Apps Are at Risk

Hey everyone, I need some help with a tricky situation. I've been troubleshooting a client's computer running Windows 10, and after trying to upgrade to Windows 11, the update got stuck at 30%. Now, the PC is caught in a reboot loop and won't move past that point. Here are the details:

- The machine has two SSDs, but I only boot from the primary one that holds the problematic OS.
- On the primary SSD, I have essential software installed: Photoshop CS4 and Illustrator CS4, which are crucial for my client as they use them for their Graphtec cutter.
- The secondary SSD is still operational and runs Windows, but it doesn't have the necessary applications.

I really need to fix this issue without losing any of the software or settings because they rely on these applications for their work. Here's what I've tried so far:
- I attempted to boot into Safe Mode, but the reboot loop continues.
- I haven't carried out any major recovery steps yet as I want to avoid risking any loss of data or apps.

So, I have a couple of questions:
1. Is there a way to repair the Windows 11 update or roll it back without wiping out the apps or their configurations?
2. Can I use the working OS on the second SSD to access or recover the apps/data from the primary SSD?
3. If recovery is not an option, what tools or methods can I use to extract the CS4 apps and their settings for reinstallation?

Any help or step-by-step guidance would be greatly appreciated! I want to keep the client's setup intact. Thanks a lot!

Booting into Windows PE could help! From there, try to delete the pending update files. This usually helps get rid of the boot loop. You can also run some repairs using DISM and SFC. Just make sure to do this carefully to avoid losing anything important.

Great suggestion! Just double-check that you have backups of any important data beforehand, just in case.

You might want to check your bootloader; sometimes those can stall updates and cause loops like this. It's worth investigating before diving into deeper recovery steps!
