I've searched through Google's settings but can't find a way to permanently remove the AI Overview section. The summaries are often inaccurate, and I'd prefer to see the regular search results without the AI-generated panel. Is there a reliable setting, search shortcut, browser option, or extension that disables it?

Another option is a browser extension that hides Google’s AI Overview section. Search your browser’s extension store for an AI Overview hider and check that it’s well maintained and has good reviews. Switching to a different search engine is also an easy way to avoid the feature entirely.
You can append -noai to a search, like “how to make bread -noai.” However, that technically excludes results containing the word “noai,” so it may alter your results in ways you don’t intend. It works as a quick workaround, but udm=14 is cleaner.
The most reliable option is to use Google’s standard web-results mode by adding the udm=14 parameter to the search URL. You can also create a custom browser search engine using https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&udm=14, then make that your default search engine. This keeps the normal blue-link results without the AI Overview panel.
