I'm using this PC for sim racing across three 1080p monitors, but because of where it has to sit and the limited space around it, the heat and fan noise are pretty noticeable. The system has an ASUS ROG STRIX B550-E motherboard, Ryzen 7 3800XT, EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra, Corsair H100x liquid cooler, Corsair RM850x power supply, and a Corsair 4000D case. At the moment, there's only one front intake fan installed. What would be the best way to improve airflow and reduce temperatures and noise during gaming?

Since you’re currently running just one case fan, I’d start with airflow upgrades before replacing components. Use the front fans as intake and the rear fan as exhaust, keep the dust filters clean, and avoid blocking the case vents. Also verify whether the H100x radiator is mounted at the front or top, since that affects the best fan arrangement.
If the graphics card is the main source of the noise, improving the case airflow may only help so much. An RTX 3080 FTW3 can get fairly loud under sustained load, so try setting a custom fan curve or undervolting the GPU. That can often lower power consumption, temperatures, and noise with only a small performance difference.
The Corsair 4000D has room for a much better airflow setup. I’d add two more front intake fans and one rear exhaust fan, then make sure the radiator fans are oriented correctly. More balanced airflow should help keep the GPU and CPU cooler, which may also reduce fan speeds and noise. It would also help to check your CPU and GPU temperatures during a typical race before deciding what needs attention most.
