My mom borrowed my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ for work and accidentally dropped it in floodwater during a storm. Instead of turning it off, she put it back in her pocket and it stayed on for about 13 hours until she tried to charge it the next day. She then called me, saying it wouldn't charge, displayed a warning, and that the screen colors were acting weird. Although the screen seemed fine when she shut it down, I'm scared to turn it back on. I'm also not sure if I can afford a repair shop. Is the screen issue temporary, or is my phone truly damaged? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Since the Galaxy Note 10+ is waterproof, it might be okay despite the drop. The screen issue could just be light distortion from water on the surface, making it look weird. Just make sure the charging port is completely dry before you try to charge it again, as water there can cause serious problems.
It’s possible that some water got into the screen. That could either evaporate over time or stay trapped. Just keep an eye on it!
Thanks for the tip! I'm aware it's waterproof, but I'm still worried since it was left on and charging after the drop. Right now, it seems to be working, but there are moments when the screen flickers with a green tint, which doesn’t seem like normal distortion to me.
