I'm new to building PCs and am preparing to assemble my first mid-range system. The planned parts are an AMD Ryzen 5 5600, GIGABYTE B550M DS3H AC R2 motherboard, MSI GeForce RTX 5060 8G Gaming OC, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200, an Intenso 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD, and an MSI MAG A550BN 550W power supply. Since these components are fairly expensive, I'd like to know which companies or sellers available through Amazon are generally trustworthy and which ones are best avoided. I'm especially interested in reliable returns, genuine products, and warranty support for at least the first couple of years. Is it worth prioritizing items shipped by Amazon or marked as Prime, and does a Prime subscription provide any useful advantage beyond shipping?

I usually prioritize listings that are shipped by Amazon because returns tend to be simpler if something arrives damaged, used, or defective. The actual seller still matters, though, so check whether it is Amazon itself, the manufacturer, or an established retailer with lots of recent reviews. Also read the newest reviews rather than relying only on the overall rating.
Buying through Amazon generally gives you a reasonable chance of resolving problems, but it is not a guarantee that every marketplace seller is dependable. Check the seller’s feedback, return terms, warranty details, and whether the item is new and sealed. For expensive parts such as the graphics card, motherboard, and power supply, buying directly from Amazon or a well-known authorized retailer is usually worth paying a little extra for.
Prime is mostly a shipping and delivery membership; it does not automatically mean that the product is better or that the seller is more trustworthy. You can often buy individual Prime-eligible items without subscribing, depending on the order and your location. Compare the final prices, delivery date, seller, and return policy instead of choosing something solely because it has the Prime label.
