My parents just upgraded to Windows 11, but they're really not enjoying it. I've been trying to convince them to switch to Linux, and I want to set up a USB for them to test it out first. Since I'm all about Arch Linux, I realize that's not a user-friendly option for them. I'm thinking maybe Linux Mint might be a good choice, but I'd love to hear your suggestions for an easy transition.

I set my father-in-law up with Lubuntu, and he was able to adapt well after just a little guidance. It’s lightweight and perfect for older computers!
I’d recommend Linux Mint. It’s super user-friendly, and the interface is familiar for anyone coming from Windows.
Mint or Kubuntu could be great options! Both have a layout that’s quite similar to Windows, which should make them feel at home.
Honestly, just let them try different distros. Everyone’s preferences are different, and by letting them explore, they're more likely to find one they actually enjoy.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely consider Lubuntu as well.
