I've been using Linux for about two years, but now my dad has started pausing Linux devices on our home network using some app and only allows Windows systems. I'm looking for a way to spoof my Linux installation at the kernel level to make it appear as if it's running Windows. How can I achieve this, especially since it shows up as Linux on Xfinity?

You could have an honest chat with your dad. Sometimes open communication helps more than trying to bypass the restrictions. Plus, he might not understand what Linux really is or why you prefer it over Windows.
Yeah, I get that. But he seems set on blocking anything that isn't Windows, thinking that it gives him more control over my online activities.
