I game at 1440p, playing everything from CS2 to demanding AAA titles, and I generally prioritize frame rate over visual quality. I understand that one RAM module runs in single-channel mode, but I am worried that I made a major mistake and will have substantially worse performance or less usable memory. Adding another 32GB stick immediately is outside my budget. How much performance am I realistically losing, and is this something I should urgently fix?

The biggest impact may show up in CPU-limited games such as CS2, particularly when chasing very high frame rates. Most newer AAA games at 1440p will be limited more by the RTX 5070 Ti, so the difference may be difficult to notice in actual gameplay. I would test the system before treating this as an emergency.
It should still work perfectly normally. Single-channel DDR5 is slower than dual-channel, but the gaming penalty is usually fairly small, especially with an X3D processor. You still have the full 32GB of usable memory; it is not as if half of it disappears.
It is worth asking the builder whether they can exchange the module or offer a discounted upgrade. Since they assembled the machine, they may be willing to help as a goodwill gesture, but their refusal would not necessarily mean anything is wrong with the build.
You can keep the current stick and upgrade later if needed. Ideally, use a matched 2x32GB kit rather than buying a random second module, because mixing DDR5 sticks can create compatibility or stability problems even when the specifications look identical. Selling the existing module and putting that money toward a matched kit is another option, though you would probably take a small loss.
