How can I use USB tethering without enabling USB debugging?

USB tethering is not working unless USB debugging is enabled. I only want to share my phone's internet connection with another device over a USB cable, without turning on developer options or USB debugging. It worked previously but recently stopped.

If it worked before and suddenly stopped, the issue could be your carrier’s tethering support, a changed plan restriction, or a phone update. Check the mobile network and hotspot settings, reset network settings if necessary, and confirm that your carrier still allows tethering. USB debugging should not be needed for normal USB tethering.

I used it successfully before, but it recently stopped working.

USB tethering normally does not require USB debugging. If the option is enabled but the connection does not work, check that your phone’s mobile data is on, try another USB cable or port, and restart both devices. The computer may also need the phone’s USB or network drivers.

Yes, I’m trying to use my phone’s hotspot through a wired USB connection.
